The Role:
Project Controls Manager - To develop an internal and externally facing Project Controls capability within Project Management London that is recognised throughout the company as a centre of excellence for Project Controls services and support.
Responsibilities:
Marketing and bid material.
Winning work for the team .
Team billability / profitability.
Training, development and succession planning for the team.
Recruitment of team members.
Promotion and dissemination of project controls best practice through-out the company
Ensure team stay aware of developments and best practice within the Project Controls profession
Preparing annual business plan for the team.
Delivery of Project Controls services to internal and external clients.
Contributing to the overall management of the business unit.
Scope:
Scheduling and earned value
Bottom-up project cost estimating / budgets
Project cost control
Project change control
Project reporting and dashboards
Product/Work breakdown structures
Risk Management
Services to include processes, supporting technology and awareness of people change management issues.
People Skills
Able to grow, develop and build a team of Project Controllers.
Able to resolve conflicts
Able to identify stakeholders, determine requirements and expectations and manage them effectively
Maintain excellent relations with clients,
Able to report progress at \'Project Board\' meetings and answer questions accordingly
Ensures line manager is kept informed about key issues
Person Specification:
Professional qualification in an engineering, management, IT or commercial discipline
Experience of implementing project controls systems and processes on large design or construction projects.
Self motivated
Takes action and gets involved
Very good communicator (verbal, written and listening)
Good Client Facing skills
Some experience of bidding for and winning work
