• What’s involved:
11: To manage the development and delivery of designated projects/programmes and ensure that effective project management systems and processes are established and maintained. To ensure that the overall projects/programmes keep to time and budget in line with the agreed project plan and monitoring information that is prepared is financially stable, viable and in line with the Council’s requirements.
2: To manage and co-ordinate tendering and procurement processes and ensure that procurement processes comply with all relevant legal and procedural requirements. To set up and use a variety of procurement methods including design and build, frameworks, traditional, and partnering. To advise on the selection and method of appointment of contractors/consultants and agree extent of design and specifications required.
3: To prepare, maintain and monitor master programmes from initial brief to completion, recording principal activities and identifying critical dates. Check all requirements for statutory and/or other legislative requirements have been met in accordance with the programme. Advise key stakeholders of all changes to the projects/programmes and implications arising as and when necessary.

4: To establish, manage and lead project teams, ensuring that tasks and responsibilities are clearly identified, allocated, monitored and delivered. To ensure that Project Team members are appropriately skilled and supported to complete allocated tasks.
5: To commission, lead and manage contractors and consultants in delivering projects/programmes, establish effective working relationships and productive partnerships with all relevant external and internal partners. Develop and maintain effective communication plans.
6: To produce, co-ordinate and manage comprehensive technical/strategic reports, feasibility studies, option appraisals and any other relevant study to inform and provide advice to government offices, members, council officers, headteachers and governors in the management, formation and progress of projects and programmes, as well as ad-hoc premises advice.
